Sony PSP RepairSony's PSP is a brilliant console... however, has many common problems such as cracked LCD screens and faulty UMD readers. We can repair your PSP at very reasonable prices.
We will usually have your Sony PSP back to you in 3-4 days. We also offer a free inspection service if you are not sure what problem you have with your PSP.
Please see below for price information:
Cracked or shattered PSP LCD Screen
The screen on the PSP is quite large in relation to the size of the console and it is quite fragile being protected only by a thin layer of plastic on the fascia. If it is dropped or smashed you will notice that it has black areas on the screen that don't display a picture, or in worse cases no picture at all. We can replace the screen with a brand new high quality LCD screen for you.
PSP Analogue stick replacement
The joystick on the PSP is made of plastic and so through use or too much pressure it can snap. Often it will 'stick' causing you to pull in one direction when playing a game. This is a straight forward and common repair that we can conduct for you.
PSP is 'Bricked' due to firmware up/downgrade
Sometimes during an update or installation of firmware the console can shut down and this causes software issues which we can resolve for you. You choose which software you would like installed after repair and we will include it in the price!
Broken UMD Door or eject mechanism
Sometimes physical damage can occur around the UMD door (where you put game discs in). This is often due to bent arms on the drive, these can be replaced for you to allow for a smooth opening operation.
Faulty UMD reader (laser)
The Sony PSP has a common problem where the UMD or game disc is not read or detected. Often the PSP makes a noise when trying to read the UMD but it is not displayed in the menu.
Replacement of PSP fascia
The Sony PSP is made of a high gloss finish usually in black silver or white, becuase of this it is subject to scratches over the screen. We can replace the front fascia for you and get it looking like new again. No more struggling to see through scratched plastic!
Sony PSP Headphone socket replacement
Often users prefer to have headphones in while using the PSP, like when on a train or plane. If one or both of the headphones are not playing sound then it is probably the headphone socket that is at fault rather than the headphones. A replacement socket will cure this fault for you.
Sony PSP Power / Charging socket replacement
Another common repair on the Sony PSP is on the charging socket where the small internal pin can become bent or damaged. Once the socket has been replaced your charger will fit nicely and most importantly the console will charge again!
